Todd Phillips

Todd Phillips is a Canadian singer-songwriter, guitarist and storyteller from Sunderland, Ontario, blending folk, blues and roots rock. His songs are built around people, places and moments worth remembering. His single “Memphis Cinderella” was recorded in Toronto with acclaimed producer and guitarist Steve Dawson.

An award-winning journalist and playwright, Phillips brings a storyteller’s instinct to more than 50 original songs. He is co-writer of JOOK – The Story of the Great Migration, created with Glenn Marais and winner of the 2023 Tom Hendry Award for Best Musical.

Live, Phillips performs solo, as part of the acoustic duo Phillips & Graves, and with a full band, mixing original music with songs by artists including The Band, Pink Floyd, Blue Rodeo, Chris Stapleton, Prince and John Mayer. Acoustic and electric guitars, a few stories and an easy audience connection keep the shows rootsy, relaxed and personal.
